Step Eight

Setting up your own $5 Magic Pages

Starting with your Thank you/Instruction page. You need to open up a new web page in your editor.  Give it a name
say "thanks" and the URL of your new page will be http://www.yourdomainname.com/thanks.htm  - Change your viewing
to html - select all and delete everything. You are now ready to paste the source code from my page into yours.

Now open http://www.12scdreams.com/5magic.html in your browser -  Right click anywhere in the page and then left click on "view page source" - select ALL and copy the code. Then paste it into the blank html page of your newly opened
page above. Then Save it. You can now change the viewing back to normal. As you prepare the various Step Pages you will have to come back to this page to amend the links to your own Step pages.

Now do the same with the Step 1 and Step 2 pages

Now we need to edit Your Step 2. The two most important items are The Paypal Button Code - near the end of this step you will see:

Copy and paste  " http://www.12scdreams.com/5magic.html " into the box "Take
customers to this URL when they finish checkout"

 Now click "Create Button"

Select  the button code, then copy and paste it into an email to
12scteam@gmail.com

You need to replace http://www.12scdreams.com/5magic.html with the URL of your own Thanks Page (The page you created first) and then replace 12scteam@gmail.com with your own email address where you want your clients to send their Paypal Button Code. Save the changes.

If you have joined the Programs in my Steps 3 to 6 inclusive you can do the same with these pages.  Now you want to replace my referral URLs for the various programs with your own referral URLs.

Do the same for Step 7 and replace my Url and form code for your own.

Having changed the links to the various steps on your thaqnk you page Save and Publish all your  pages.

We will now Change your $5 Magic Sales Page to your Domain.  You need to open up a new web page in your editor.
Give it the same name as your existing sales page (or if you prefer you can rename it at this stage) so for instance,  http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXX.htm would become http://www.yourdomainname.com/XXXXXX.htm - again
change the view to html and select ALL and delete to a blank page.

Open your existing sales page  http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXX.htm in your browser - Right click anywhere in the page and then left click on "view page source" - select all and copy the code. Then paste it into the blank html page of your newly opened page above. You can now change the viewing back to normal. Save your file - we will edit the link to your Paypal Button Page after we have opened it in your domain.

We will now Change your Paypal Button Page to your Domain  You need to open up a new web page in your editor.

The name will be the same as your sales page but with "pay" before the .htm so for instance, http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXXpay.htm would become http://www.yourdomainname.com/XXXXXXpay.htm - again change the view to html and
select ALL and delete to a blank page.

Open your existing sales page  http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXX.htm in your browser  and click on the link
Click Here to Pay $5 to my Paypal Account
and you will be taken to your existing Paypal Button Page
http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXXpay.htm _ Right click anywhere in the page and then left click on "view page source" -
select ALL and copy the code. Then paste it into the blank html page of your newly opened page above.  You can now change the viewing back to normal. Save your file . We do not need to do anything more with this page because when we edit your Paypal Button (in your Paypal Account) the button code does not change, but Paypal will forward your purchaser to your new Thanks page.

Now open your Sales Page again in your web page editor. You will need to alter the link behind "Click Here to Pay $5 to my Paypal Account" from http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXXpay.htm to http://www.yourdomainname.com/XXXXXXpay.htm You get this dialogue box usually by clicking chain links in your toolbar. Just paste your new URL over
the top of the old one - You may have to use Ctrl and C to copy and Ctrl and V to paste. Save your changes

Your  webpages are now set up and ready and all you need to do is open your Paypal account and edit the forwarding address in your existing button.

Open your Paypal account and hover over profile and click "My Selling Preferences" Near the top of the list you will see "Manage my payment buttons" and click on "Update" on the same line - Click Action on the same line as $5 Magic and in the drop down box click on "Edit Button" - Click on Step 3 at the bottom of the page and in the extended page you will see the URL http://www.12scdreams.com/5magic.html that you added when you set up your button.

This needs changing to your new Thanks page URL -  http://www.yourdomainname.com/thanks.htm (do not forget to use your actual domain name here)  - Save your changes and you are done.

All that remains is for you to stop advertising  http://5dollarmagic.myfecm.com/XXXXXX.htm and start advertising http://www.yourdomainname.com/XXXXXX.htm

When a customer sends you their Paypal Button Code, setting up their sales page is extremely easy:

You will need to decide what user name you are going to use for them - it could be the first part of their email address or if that is too long, maybe their first initial and surname  - it has to be unique on your domain, you cannot have two files with the same name.

a) Open your own sales page in your web page editor and "save as" pasting their username over the top of your own

b) Change the URL in the link address by pasting their username over the top of your own, making sure that "pay" remains in the URL.  Save your changes.

c) Open your own Paypal Button page in your web page editor and "save as"   pasting their username over the top of your own, making sure that "pay" remains in the address.

d) Left click somewhere on the Paypal Button and change from Normal to HTML viewing you will see your own button code on the page and if your client has set up his Paypal button as instructed, the only change you will have to make is to the "value" - this is usually 13 letters and numbers. Copy their unique value over the top of your own value.  Change back to normal viewing. and save your changes.

That is all that need to be done - it usually takes about 10 minutes only.

What I usually do is to open their new sales page in my Browser and copy the address from the bar at the top into my reply to the customer - this is their $5 Sales Page. Before I send the email  I click on the link of their page and then click on the Paypal Button to make sure it goes to a Paypal payment page. I usually ask them to check themselves that it arrives at the right page before they start advertising. Then I send the email.

Please email me if you need further clarification on any of this.
